Network of American Universities is a not-for-profit community of progressive and innovative universities across the Americas that recognize that higher education must change to meet the needs of globalism. These network members understand that knowledge goes beyond borders or classroom. It's become global, digital, democratic and student-centric. Network members share the common belief that learning must be broadly accessible, affordable and interactive, a hybrid of the traditional and the technological, a blend of the domestic and the international.

NAU's Dallas-based coordinating board of advisors seeks to facilitate both the exchange of people and ideas to better meet the needs of our member universities as they embrace these global changes. We are a bridge between North America and Latin America: for the public university in Arizona that seeks access to qualified students in Paraguay; for the professor of Portuguese from Texas who seeks to immerse herself in Brazilian culture to enhance her teaching skills at a university in Rio de Janeiro; for the Chilean student of architecture in Santiago who seeks to study design at a public university in Florida while finding social relevance building homes with Habitat for Humanity in Miami.

For NAU's member universities—a network of public universities in North America and not-for-profit and private universities in Latin America—collaboration is the key. Members share new learning technologies and work together on initiatives that improve academic quality, increase affordability and expand access to higher education. Member universities in both North and Latin America collaborate on branding, marketing, degree programs, student and professor exchanges, and social missions that have a lasting impact on society.
